SBI quick missed call banking is a new service from the State Bank of India(SBI) which provides banking by just sending SMS or giving missed calls to the predefined numbers.

The facility can be used by the customer to get their account balance, mini statement, and many more. however, it is available only with a customer registered mobile number with a particular account.

How to Register SBI missed call Banking?

In order to avail of the services of missed call banking, you need to complete a one-time registration process. The registration process is very quick and easy. you can follow the steps mentioned below-

  • you must send an SMS in the below format. make sure you send an SMS from the registered mobile number with your account.
SMS"REG<space>Account Number" to 09223488888
  • Once the SMS is sent you will get a confirmation message. the message will be about your successful or unsuccessful registration.
  • If the registration is done successfully, you can start using SBI Quick missed call banking services.
  • In case it is unsuccessful check the format of the message and the number you sent. if this is correct then check if that number is registered with the bank for your account.
  • if your number is not registered visit the branch to update or update it online.

Generate ATM Card PINSend SMS from registered mobile number in the below format,
PIN CCCC AAAA to 567676 where Where CCCC is the last 4 digits of the ATM Card number and AAAA is the last 4 digits of the Account Number.
OTP will be sent to your registered number.

OTP must be used to change the SBI Debit Card PIN at any ATM within 2 days as OTP will be valid for 2 days only.

FAQs(Frequently Asked Questions)

1-Is there any limit to the number of enquiries that can be made in a day/month?

As of now, there is no such restriction.

2- What are the fees for this service?

Presently this service is free of charge from the bank.

The call for balance inquiry or mini statement will include a 4 second IVR message which will be heard after 3-4 rings. If you disconnect the call while ringing, you will not be charged by the service provider. If you keep the call active till the IVR is running, you will be charged for these 3-4 seconds according to their mobile tariff plan.

The premium rates will be charged by your service provider to block any SMS ATM card sent to 567676.

Similarly, to avail of the benefits of this functionality by sending SMS (BAL, MSTMT, REG, DREG, CAR, HOME, HELP), you will be charged for SMS as per their mobile tariff plan.

3-How is this SBI Quick missed call different from Yono Lite SBI or Yono SBI?

There are mainly 2 differences –

a. You do not need a login ID, password to use this feature. For SBI missed call banking, you need to register only once with the mobile number registered with the bank.

b. SBI Quick is not having a money transfer feature hence you can do the financial transaction through this app while Yono Lite SBI and Yono SBI can be used for any financial transactions.

4-What If I have two account numbers with the bank, which have the same mobile number on both?

You can register for SBI Quick for only one account at a time. If you want to change the mapped account number, then you have to first de-register the SBI Quick from the account and then register for the second one.
