How to Change Registered Mobile Number in SBI Using ATM

This is also one of the simple steps which you can use to change your mobile number in SBI.follow the steps below.

  • From the above method follow the instructions from Step 1 to Step 9
  • Now Select IRATA(Internet Banking Request Approval Through ATM) and click on Proceed.
  • Choose your Account Active Card and click on Confirm.
  • On the next screen Enter the required details like Expiry Date of the card, PIN, Captcha, and click on Proceed.
  • On Successful validation, a message will be displayed on the screen saying “Thanks for registering your mobile number with us. The status of your request is pending. Kindly complete the registration process according to the option selected by you”.
  • You will get 10 digits IRATA Reference number to your new mobile number.
  • Visit nearest SBI ATM center ,Swipe your card and select Services Tab.
  • Enter your ATM PIN and select the Others tab on the screen and Choose the Internet Banking Request Approval Option.
  • Now Enter 10 digit IRATA Reference number.
  • On Successful completion of the process, your mobile number will be changed. you will receive a message regarding this update as well to your mobile number.

How to Change Registered Mobile Number in SBI Through Contact Centre

Updating your mobile number through the contact center is also very easy. you just need to follow the steps mentioned below.

  • Log in with your Username and Password
  • On the Home Page click on My Accounts & profile on the left-hand side and then click on Profile.
  • Now Click on Personal Details/Mobile under profile section.
  • Provide your profile Password and click on Submit.
  • On the Next screen Enter New Mobile Number and Retype Mobile Number.
  • Now select the mode to verify your Request. Select the option approval through Contact centre and click on Proceed.
  • Select your Account And click on proceed. Choose your Active ATM card and click on Confirm.
  • Fill in the necessary details like Expiry Date, PIN, and text as shown on the screen and click on Proceed.
  • On Successful validation, a message will be displayed on the screen saying “Thanks for registering your mobile number with us. The status of your request is pending. Kindly complete the registration process according to the option selected by you”
  • An SMS containing Reference number will be sent to your new mobile number.
  • You will get a call from customer care in next 3 working days on your new mobile number.
  • Make sure to ask the Reference number from the contact Centre person before sharing your personal details.
  • Contact Centre will verify your identity by asking certain information.
  • After Successful verification of your identity your new mobile number will get registered on bank database and you will get the conformation message for the same.

You have successfully updated your mobile number with the bank through customer care .

How to check Status and Cancellation of Request

After putting a request you can check the status. In case if you do not your request to process you can cancel it as well. follow the process below to view status and cancel.

  • Select Profile tab and click on Personal Details
  • A new page will appear displaying your name, mobile number and e-mail ID.
  • Click on the link Change Mobile Number-Domestic only (Through OTP/ATM/Contact Centre)
  • A new window will appear with 3 tabs Create Request, Cancel Request, and Status will appear.
  • Click on the Status tab and check your present status of mobile change request.
  • If you want to cancel the request click on Cancel Request tab and choose the request.
  • Click on Cancel Request option to cancel the request.
  • A message will display saying your reference is successfully cancelled.
