Visit your post office home branch, get the Post office internet banking form or you can download it online from the India Post office website.

Fill in the form carefully and submit it to the post office along with the necessary documents. Your India Post office internet banking will be enabled by the Post Office and get activated from the next working day.

Once the request is processed successfully, an SMS will be delivered to your registered mobile number within 48 hours from the post office about the activation of Net Banking.

  • On the next page enter the OTP received to your registered mobile number. Click on the Continue button.
  • Now set your Login and transaction Password. Retype both passwords to confirm. Login and transaction passwords must be different. Click on the Continue button.
Password Policy:

Password can not consist of all the characters as in your User ID.
It must be a minimum of 9 characters and a maximum of 28 characters.
It must contain at least one special character.
Spaces are not allowed in the Password.
  • On the next screen, You will see a message that your Password changed successfully. Click on go to the Login page.

  • Visit the India Post Official Net Banking Website
  • Enter your User ID and click on the Login button. your User ID will be your CIF ID printed on the passbook.

  • On the next page select any 5 security questions and answer them. next click on the Register button.
  • Now update phrase details. It is like a welcome message that will show when you will log in to Internet banking. you can write anything of your choice. Click on the Update button.
  • On the next page, you need to change your previously created sign-in Password. Enter the old password, enter a new password, Retype the New Password and click on the OK button.
